Add Wiki Content

We are all learning here, so it will be important to ask questions and share our knowledge. If you are ever confused, the "help" feature (at the top of the page) will answer your questions.
  • Click on this link Graland EdTech wiki to open the wiki on a new tab. Choose the page you want to edit (so you can flip back and forth between these directions and the page you're editing).
  • Click on the "Edit" button in the upper right hand corner. The "Editor" toolbar will pop up.

Add Text

    • Use the buttons on the left side of the toolbar.
    • When you finish, you can click preview to see what it will look like. You can "continue editing" or save it if you like what you see.

Add Website Link

    • Put your cursor where you want to add the link. Click on the link button (chain) on the Editor tool bar.
    • Choose "External Link"
    • Write the name of the site or content of the page in the "Link Text" box. This is what the viewer will see.
    • Copy and paste the entire web address into the "Address" box.
    • Click on the "New Window" box so the link will open in a new window. (That way the reader won't lose this page!)
    • When you finish, you can click "Preview" to see what it will look like and check your link. Save it if the the changes you made are correct. If there's a problem, try this process again, being careful to copy the entire link. You can "Continue Editing" or save it if you like what you see.

Share a Document

    • "Upload" or share a document (Notebook file) so someone else can "download" and save it to their computer.
    • Go to the page you want to add the file to.
    • Put the cursor on the place (e.g. under the subject area or grade level) where you want to put the download icon and button.
    • Click on the "Insert a File or Image" button (country scene) on the Editing Toolbar.external image moz-screenshot-1.png
    • Choose the "Upload Files" tab.
      • To upload a single file: click on the "Click here to use our single file upload tool." > "Browse" > Find the file > Click "Open" > Click "Upload" > Double-click on the file icon to insert it where your cursor is on the page.
      • To upload more than one file from the same folder on your computer: Click "Upload" > Navigate to the folder where your files are. > Hold the Command Key while clicking on the files you want to upload. > Click "Select" > Wait until the file icons appear on the window. > Click "Upload" The file will look like a large button.
    • When you finish, click "Preview". The button will look like a regular file icon. Save it if the the changes you made are correct.
    • If your files appear in the wrong place > click "Continue Editing"
      • Delete the file icon.
      • Put your cursor on the place where the file should go. > Click on the "Insert a File or Image" button again.
      • Use the "Insert File Tab" (The file has been uploaded to the wiki; you need to put it where you want it > Find the file you want to use. > Click on it.
